Connect Autobidder To Markate

How to Connect Autobidder to Markate Using Zapier
Autobidder is a powerful tool that helps home service business owners streamline their quoting and booking process. If you use Markate for customer management, you can integrate Autobidder with it using Zapier to automate data transfer and improve efficiency. In this guide, we’ll walk through the process step by step.
Step 1: Enable Zapier in Markate
- Log into Markate.
- Navigate to the More section and click on Connectors.
- You will see a list of available integrations—select Zapier.
- Click Manage, and an API key will be generated.
- Copy the API key to your clipboard.
- Follow the provided Zapier URL link and paste the API key when prompted.
At this point, your Markate account is now connected to Zapier.
Step 2: Set Up the Integration in Autobidder
- Log into AutoBidder.
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Here, you will see different pre-built Zapier integrations, such as:
- Creating a spreadsheet row when a new booking occurs.
- Sending a Gmail notification for new AutoBidder prospects.
- Sending a text message to new AutoBidder prospects.
- Creating a customer in QuickBooks.
- If none of these fit your needs, click Create from Scratch.
Step 3: Create a Zap in Zapier
- Log into your Zapier account (a free plan should be sufficient for basic needs).
- Click Create a Zap.
- Set AutoBidder as the Trigger App:
- Search for AutoBidder.
- Select New Prospect Polling as the trigger event.
- Choose your AutoBidder account (log in if you haven’t already).
- Click Continue, and Zapier will pull in recent leads from AutoBidder for testing.
4. Set Markate as the Action App:
- Search for Markate 1.0.
- Choose an action—either Create an Inquiry or Create a Customer.
- For most setups, Create a Customer is preferred.
- Map the fields from AutoBidder to Markate:
- Customer Type: Choose between residential or commercial.
- Name: You can split the full name into first and last names for better formatting.
- Email: Select the corresponding email field.
- Phone Number: Assign the correct phone field.
- Billing Address: Choose the address field.
- Notes Section: Use this field to transfer additional service details such as:
- Service Name
- Service Bid Price
- Click Continue.
5.Test the Zap:
- Run a test to ensure a new customer entry is created in Markate.
- If successful, click Publish to activate the Zap.
Step 4: Verify the Integration
- Go to Leads in AutoBidder and check for new prospects.
- Go to Markate and sort customers by Newest.
- If the data is transferred correctly, the new lead should appear in Markate.
- Keep in mind:
- The Polling API runs every two minutes, so there may be a slight delay in data sync.
- If needed, assign a customer source label (e.g., ‘AutoBidder’) within Markate to track where leads originated.
Additional Considerations
- Markate charges an additional $10/month for Zapier integrations.
- Zapier’s free plan has limitations, but it should suffice for basic automation needs.
- If you want to trigger actions based on bookings instead of leads, you can create another Zap to handle new bookings.
